Instagram + Polaroid = New Camera

So interesting that Polaroid and Instagram are teaming up to create a camera. Not sure if I would buy one because my phone is so handy. However, they look nice and giving it a shot may or may not replace the fact that you can take the photos and have them printed...just not instantly. You have to order them in the mail. I have some sweet magnets from Stickyprint that I love. Good luck!

Designer Ideas

This is such a great idea for a business! Custom or off the shelf wall decals from Wallums. I like the way this site is set up...super duper simple. Two designers run the business. I've seen wall decals before but the fonts and quotes are, shall we say, not that amazing. I want some of these for a house in the future!

Mindy Turns FIVE!

Happy birthday to our dear little pup, Miss Mindy, Mindy-poo, Mindy-Moomerson... that's all I can think of for our names for her right now. Today she is five years old. I am so happy that she has been so sweet to me since we met. She is an amazing snuggler, has a sweet teddy bear face, and knows the puppy English words (her name, walk, outside, Daddy, car ride, DDC - doggie day care -, and kiss. Because there is so much love for her at home, the folks at Doggie Zen Den love love watching her for us once a week.

She is the baby of the house, so her picture gets taken quite a bit!

Happy Heart Day!

Yes, I made these Valentine's a couple of years ago with my dear friend, Joy, as well as Instagram. We had so much fun making them! Valentine's day is one of my favorite holidays. You know why? It's because of the graphic-ness involved with the holiday. I'm girly and love hearts and glitter and cut outs and happiness. While I don't technically work ON Valentine's day projects, the work I did FOR this holiday last year and years before will always hold a special place in my heart. Give somebody a hug today, ok?

Birthday Tidbit

If you are having a birthday party any time soon, I highly recommend getting a backdrop made. Below is one that I made for my friend, Cassian's birthday. The thing was such a hit the way everybody was able to get their pic taken in front of it with or without the birthday boy! It was total red carpet and made everyone feel super famous (AND FABULOUS). The backdrop was moved into a different area for the dancers to do their thing... so perfect for when photos were tagged on the book. Cassian was super grateful and I'm so happy I could help make his party a little more special. Great great idea!

Engaged!!

November 1, 2012 - The day we got engaged! Here are a few pics that I took as we got the balloon ready for our very first adventure ride together. It was a great weekend but this kept us on cloud 9 the entire time. There was a sign on the ground, a total surprise for me, and tears from the both of us! Best guy I've ever met! :) Big smiles and it still makes my eyes water. I. Am. So. Lucky.

HWN 2012

Happy Halloween! This is some work that I did when I was working at Hallmark. The CFH Walmart brand display is what you see here for Halloween 2012 (it's in stores now!). Both Halloween and Valentine's Day were always my favorite seasons to work on because of the imagery associated with each. While my team and I know the intricate detail and trial-and-error that went into this, it ended up being a success. I FINALLY found a Walmart in Dallas that had the entire 12 ft display, set up perfectly. Big smiles to that!

Grrr

One day I will not be pissed when people leave work on time to go pick up their kids, while I can't leave work on time to get a decent workout in. Today I'm irritated that people think one takes precedence over the other. Smile. Gone.
